Samsung Electronics announced on 2nd that it succeeded in developing GDDR5 graphics D-Ram (6Gbps 512Mb), whose speed is fastest in the world.

This recently developed memory is the next-generation graphics D-Ram whose data processing speed per one data input/output pin is 6Gb per second, which is 9 times faster than the existing 667Mbps DDR2 for PC. It is also two times faster than 3.2Gbps GDDR4 used for graphics.

And, with 32 data input/output pins, this memory has 24G-byte of data processing capacity per second and can process DVD-level movies of 1.5G-byte in just a second, all of which makes it suitable for the next-generation video player and game player.
